Run to make Faridabad a Safe and Clean City….!
Faridabad Police, along with District Administration of Faridabad, Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) and Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) proudly present The FARIDABAD MARATHON 2017. The objective of this marathon is to forge a never ending bond between two very important aspects of society---a SAFE and CLEAN Faridabad that would go a long way in making Faridabad a Smart City. The Marathon also aims to generate the spirit of being united through community involvement for a noble cause.
All it requires is your endless reserves of energy to sensitize people towards the twin causes of Safety and Cleanliness.
This Marathon aims to fuel the competitive spirit inherent in all of us. But then, it is also for fun!
The FARIDABAD MARATHON 2017 is open to All Age Groups, be it Faridabad's running community, sports loving population and health and fitness enthusiasts…all are invited to participate to make this an event to remember.
Marathon Facts
Most participants do not run a marathon for the sake of winning. It is also about bonding and fellow feeling while giving the runner a huge adrenaline rush. Most runners tend to focus on their personal finish time and their placement within their specific gender and age group, though some runners just want to finish for the sake of achieving a personal milestone. Strategies for completing a marathon include running the whole distance and a run–walk strategy. Whether you choose to run for recreation or break certain time barriers, you will be contributing to make Faridabad a better place.

- Online registrations for Marathon to start on February 1, 2017 and close on February 15, 2017
- Entry is free for all participants.
- Start & Finish Venue: Huda Ground, Sector 12, Faridabad

There will be Prizes for both the men and women’s categories. While the Top 3 runners will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes respectively, there will be Consolation prizes too for those who finish in the 4th, 5th and 6th positions!
About Faridabad Police
Faridabad is located towards south of Delhi. Its total area is about 900 Sq. Kms and a population of about 15 lacs. It has three Divisions i.e. NIT Faridabad, Central Faridabad and Ballabgarh. Each division is headed by an ACP. NIT Faridabad division has 07 Police Stations whereas Central Faridabad and Ballabgarh Division has 05 Police Stations each. Faridabad is a Commissionerate with Police commissioner as the head of the unit and the Police district Faridabad is divided into three parts i.e. NIT, Central & Ballabgarh Division. Each Police district is further divided into two subdivisions each of which is headed by an ACP. The Police units consist of a Crime branch, Women cell, Arms licensing branch and Foreigner registration branch.
